If you have been told you have an issue with your rotator cuff or shoulder tightness and have been doing banded rotation exercises for weeks without improving then I

understand your frustration. Your tight shoulder may not be from tight muscles!

Even though the muscles of the rotator cuff function to rotate the shoulder, that is not their primary function. They also pull the shoulder deeper into the capsule to stabilize it during motion. So yes, banded rotation can be helpful but there is a lot more going on.

Strengthening the stability of the shoulder is also going to target the rotator cuff in a way that challenges it more practically. If you are straining the muscles every time you use the shoulder you can only make so much progress

This is also going to improve the connection between the shoulder and any neck or upper back pain you have been experiencing. These two areas often go hand in hand and most people experience both issues.

So if you are feeling stuck with your exercises to do at home and feel that there is a piece missing from your homework reach out to work with me! We can take a caring approach and figure out what needs to be added in to fix your problems and to add in preventative care.
